Our first YEAR of marriage. It all comes to a close... but new beginnings are just around the corner!

365 memories to smile about...
365 days in a life changing journey...
365 reasons to fall more in love...
Excited for the 365 (X 50...) more days to come!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY 10/23/2011
Our dinner date on Coronado Island.
So perfect... I can't even describe it.
Let's make year 2 twice as better as year 1, honey.
I love you Jeffrey.

Day 365: 10/22/2011
After sight seeing around San Diego,
we took some beach cruisers along the boardwalk.

Day 364: 10/21/2011
MYSTERY TRIP!!
For our first anniversary, Jeff planned a mystery trip.
On our way to the airport we realized he did not have his paper license!
(He just recently got his CDL.)

So to make a long story short, we missed our flight.
But 3 hours later we flew standby to SAN DIEGO!
One of the best weekends I've had so far!

Day 363: 10/20/2011
Picked up crocheting again.
If anyone has a good book of patterns, I'd love to borrow it!

Day 362: 10/19/2011
My "backyard".

Day 361: 10/18/2011
The kiddos on the swings. :) So fun.

Day 360: 10/17/2011
Today I was visiting pregnancy centers in Greeley,
and smiled when I stopped at this light.
The sign says "Wild Cat Way".
This is right where my hubby went to high school.
Oh how I wish I could have seen him then!

Day 359: 10/16/2011
Two bald eagles!
How cool!

Day 358: 10/15/2011
Well the score wasn't too pretty at the CSU - Boise St. game,
but the view sure was!

Day 357: 10/14/2011
Eek! It makes me giddy seeing our anniversary date...
even if it's only on my heavy whipping cream.
(Have no fear- I don't usually have this around...
I just recently made a recipe that required it.)

Day 356: 10/13/2011
A little Ethiopian girl was braiding my hair while this picture was taken...
So much beauty... not only in the scenery, but in the little girl as well.

BROWN HAIR, a look back at the past, and an annoying fly. Day 342 -355

Day 355: 10/12/2011
Do you remember my first blog post?
I had a picture of Reeses Pieces and pancake mix.
In the past year, we have progressed from pancakes to home-made Blizzards
I have a rule of no candy left out, but i decided to break it just this once
since the colors are appropriate for the fall season. :)

Day 354: 10/11/2011
I left to watch Sydney before Jeff got home from work tonight
so I left him a simple message.
When I got back that evening, I found he left me one too.

Day 353: 10/10/2011
There is this fly that has decided it's purpose in life is to annoy me.
I swear, every room that I am in, he appears...
it's driving me crazy.
(Note: I hope Jeff isn't too mad that I took the college football
section to make a fly swatter... oops!)

Day 352: 10/9/2011
Ouch!
Ran right into this open cabinet.
You would think after getting stitches in the forehead at 7
due to this same incident, I would learn...
but nope! Hope it doesn't leave a bruise!

Day 351: 10/8/2011
Trip two to DIA! Tonight 4 Hondurans joined the team!
All of which were precious.

Day 350: 10/7/2011
Tonight we had the great privilege to
pick up the 10 Ethiopian children who will be in the
2011 His Little Feet Choir
They were both exhausted from their journey
and excited to be here! I can't wait to see how God uses them
in the ten months they are here!

Day 349: 10/6/2011
Did you know that mixing a bit of mint in with your cilantro
makes a delicious combination? We added it to our BBQ pizza tonight.
Just food for thought.
(P.S. Both of those are from my herb garden- yes, it's still alive!
Now I need to learn to transfer them inside for the winter... ideas?)

Day 348: 10/5/2011
Yep.
I made the change and am now a brunette.
Surprisingly, it actually feels pretty good.

Day 347: 10/4/2011
Strolled through Old town this afternoon and dropped by
my favorite store, White Balcony.
I treated my self to a cute porcelain bird and necklace!

Day 346: 10/3/2011
This verse was on a calendar in the room
where we held our Orphan Ministry group.
Powerful stuff to chew on...

Day 345: 10/2/2011
Can you tell I was tired and a bit out of it?

Day 344: 10/1/2011
So cute.
I can't believe Sydney is almost two!

Day 343: 9/30/2011
I love to watch Jeff cover sports
He is so diligent and it's amazing to see how quickly he records all the plays.
By half time he already has his story line for the article!

Day 342: 9/29/2011
I seem to only remember to bring my own reusable bags
to shop, if they are cute. :)

Small airplanes, fall veggies & crazy knife throwing! Day 333-341

Day 341: 9/28/2011
Sweet potato season... yum!
Nifty gadget huh?

Day 340: 9/27/2011
Orange flavored... I don't have to be sick to enjoy these. :)

Day 339: 9/26/2011
Water skiing today in late September.
It was so beautiful.

Day 338: 9/25/2011
After church, the Fowlers asked us to join them on a walk through Old Town
for some coffee before the church picnic.
It was a perfect way to spend a sunny September Sunday.

Day 337: 9/24/2011
Brennan and Jules took us flying today over Northern Colorado.
We were amazed at how much water is scattered about.
What a fun experience!

Day 336: 9/23/2011
Only one more month to finish in our first year,
so Jeff took me out to celebrate.
The Hibachi Grill was so entertaining and the food was delicious.
Look at this chef crack an egg!!!

Day 335: 9/22/2011
Trying to decorate our entry way.
This is in the beginning stage of the design...
thinking of adding a mirror under the sign,
or hooks for scarfs and such.
Also would love to find an umbrella stand of some sort that
could hold my yoga mats.

Day 334: 9/21/2011
Home, sweet, home!

Day 333: 9/20/2011
It's fall- time for butternut squash pasta!
Thank you Ken for joining us in our dinner experiment,
I'm always nervous trying new recipes!
Fun Fact: Did you know that they call "winter squashes" that because although
they grow in the summer,
if stored properly they can last through the winter.
Interesting huh?

Say goodbye to green... fall is coming. Day 322-332

Day 332: 9/19/2011
My owl candle holder +
an eucalyptus stress relief candle =
a calming environment to come home to after work.

Day 331: 9/18/2011
Tonight I tried a fresh mint leaf bath.
The aroma helped relax and melt away my worries from the week.

Day 330: 9/17/2011
Jeff's attempt to brighten my day with bright pink flowers.
I have to admit it did help. :)

Day 329: 9/16/2011
Sydney and I were saying goodbye to green today
with finger painting.
Next art project we'll pull out the yellows, oranges and reds!

Day 328: 9/15/2011
Sydney is potty training her baby doll and reading her "potty" book.
Adorable.

Day 327: 9/14/2011
I've really been enjoying this cooler, rainy weather.
It's seems to calm everyone down.

Day 326: 9/13/2011
How appropriate. :)

Day 325: 9/12/2011
The leaves are starting to change,
which means fall is on its way.

Day 324: 9/11/2011
I LOVE when the laundry basket is empty.
Too bad it literally only lasts a moment...

Day 323: 9/10/2011
Go Rams!
Ag Day was a ton of fun; full of good food, great company
and a CSU victory!

Day 322: 9/09/2011
The chair of doom...
oh how I hate it.

Guess what? It's football season! Day 311-321

Day 321: 9/8/2011
Wow.
Beautiful.
I caught the sun at the perfect moment!

Day 320: 9/7/2011
Iced Pomegranate Green Tea
Love the tea bag tag... sooo true!

Day 319: 9/6/2011
Delicious breakfast with Canadian blueberries
and a couple strawberries.
The problem is with so much natural sugar in the morning,
it's hard to focus on work!

Day 318: 9/5/2011
Smile.
My husband is so sweet and considerate,
although he may not have the neatest
hand-writing. :)

Day 317: 9/4/2011
Band of Horses concert!
They were great live.

Day 316: 9/3/2011
Today I had to leave for a massage (yes I know- lucky girl)
 mid football games,
so I left clear instructions for Jeff on lunch
since we had friends over.
He followed them very well. :)

Day 315: 9/2/2011
In our marriage small group, we are studying
The Five Love Languages  by Gary Chapman.
This week was the love language of gifts...
Jeff's a good learner.

Day 314: 9/1/2011
First day of September and it's cool and damp outside.
This is an occasion that calls for a chai tea latte.

Day 313: 8/31/2011
Alexa lent me this adorable book,
The Gentle Art of Domesticity.
It's packed with  recipes, photographs, sewing projects...
it's fantastic.
So me. :)

Day 312: 8/30/2011
Oh boy, college football season is about to kick off.
This is the time of year Jeff pulls out his DP and
starts making predictions on the season.

Day 311: 8/29/2011
Our newlywed "go to" dinner.
I hope Jeff never tires of tacos!
