little one's big reveal...

Last week Jeff and I had a wonderful dinner at Bisetti's in Old Town Fort Collins.
Once our meals were finished, we handed over a sealed envelope to our server,
who graciously asked the kitchen to create a "reveal" dessert for us.
A few (long, nervous) minutes later, our server returned with the most-anticipated plate of my life.
We closed our eyes as he set the dish in front of us, and then opened them to see the news...

a glance at little one's first 20 weeks

Wow! I didn't know it was possible for time to go by so slowly and so fast at the same time! Today marks the halfway point for this pregnancy and although we are excited (and a bit impatient) to hold our little one, my goal is to soak in every moment this baby and I are so intertwined and connected.

So to celebrate the last 20 weeks, I thought I'd share some of  our memories, pictures and thoughts...

{6 weeks}
Well, hello morning all day sickness. From 6 weeks on for a straight 2 months, I got to experience the wonders of constant nausea. Nothing but the three c's (carbs, cheese, and chocolate) sounded appetizing and my goal each day was to just make it to bed as soon as possible. {It was the best} possible scenario for this pregnancy. I was reminded each and every day how BLESSED I was to be sick and PREGNANT. It was tough, and unfortunately I don't have many pictures to remember it by (I don't know if I would want any anyway) but I thank God for the experience.

Our first glance at little one. I was NOT prepared for how emotional I would be seeing that {tiny little heartbeat} for the first time.

{12 weeks}
Is that a bump? I was sooo eager to finally see little one's presence make his or her debut on my tummy... but patience is a virtue. So close to closing in on our first trimester of pregnancy!

{first trimester favorites}
saltines. orange juice. most anything chocolate. poptarts. sparkling water. emergency mint stash. my bed. maternity beband. my first maternity tank top. third wedding anniversary. recording of little one's heartbeat.  and the reveal to family and friends.

{14 weeks}
Our news is public and we entered the {glorious second trimester}! So much to celebrate and be thankful for during the holiday season. Jeff and I were so overwhelmed with all the love and support we received when we finally shared our news. Thank you!

Official baby bump picture!
{17 weeks}
A letter to little one.

{18 weeks}
Little one's first time in California and at the beach! Visiting Disney Land made me long for the first time to learn the gender of our baby. Maybe it was all those cute Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears.

{19 weeks}
Happy New Year! We can't believe that in 2014, Jeff and I are going to have a baby!!! And even as exciting as that is, honestly I was a little {sad to say goodbye to 2013}. It was a wonderful year full of stretching my faith and falling in love with some beautiful children. Even though it was challenging and we experienced some of our hardest circumstances yet, it was one of my best years. I will always remember Jeff and I's 2013 adventure and the lessons that God taught us and the baby in Heaven he gave us.

{20 weeks}
Boy or girl?! As we speak, I'm staring at some pretty darn adorable ultrasound pictures of little one and a {sealed envelope} with our child's gender inside...
